this lodge sounded charming, but the intrusive lizards made it hard to relax. the shower was also a major issue, with its lack of privacy from prying eyes. i would've expected a complimentary bottle of wine after the inconvenience, but i guess that's too much to ask. overall, absolutely disappointing. I almost considered giving it a good review. just couldn’t.

Staying here was perfect for our family outing! The lodge is ideally located for exploring the entire island, offering activities like shell hunting on the beach and spotting fishermen at work. The tranquil gardens and pool were great spots for winding down after our adventures.
My kids wished for a few more family-friendly dining options nearby.

The room was spacious with a delightful beachfront view. The staff were genuinely warm and went above and beyond to assist. Breakfast offered local flair, especially the spiced coffee and freshly baked bread.
Though beautifully nestled in nature, the road access needs improvement, making arrival a bit challenging.

The spacious bungalows are set within thriving gardens, creating a tropical paradise atmosphere that felt calming and immersive. The breakfast spread was diverse and delicious, featuring organic options that my vegan partner appreciated. However, access to the lodge was somewhat challenging due to the road conditions, and though the beach was beautiful, it lacked nearby dining alternatives. Despite these drawbacks, the genuine hospitality from the staff made for a memorable experience.

Just a smart choice for a brief retreat in Zanzibar with attractive and competitive value for money. The infinity pool was lovely and perfect for relaxing after a long day. Make sure to rent a bike for easier access to nearby attractions.
